As a senior Headroom PA, I also train new PAs and guide them through the Headroom onboarding program. Rianne started with us as PA on March 1st 2020 and in this period of time I fully guide her remotely.
Here are some tips on remote coaching:
- 1. We schedule a daily call in the morning to start the day off together. During this call we will look at the planning and her Trello board to set priorities for the day.
- 2. Besides the daily call we also have a weekly video call via Google Hangouts. During the video call we share our screens with each other, which is super productive 😉
- 3. For questions throughout the day she can contact me via Slack.
- 4. To be able to give more detailed feedback and improvement points, I can also log into her work.
Experience of Headroom PA Rianne:
Rianne: “Onboarding at work at home actually feels the same as in the office. Because of all the possibilities we have, we can work remotely very easily. It does not make any difference to me whether we go through my day by sitting next to each other or via Hangout/telephone. Also Slack is a very efficient tool, I can easily ask my coach questions which enables a continuous workflow.
We also do a squat exercise with the Headroom team via Google Hangouts, all colleagues can participate three times a week! This way we have more social contact and small talk which makes me feel more part of the team. To conclude, working remotely works very well for me and it also helps me to work with all the programs even quicker!”
